SOME OF THE CHILDREN WE HAVE HELPED
These are some of the children the Danny Green Fund has been able to help over the last few years:
AMELIA
Amelia has taken part in horse-riding therapy to help her core strength, balance and confidence. The Danny Green Fund have also funded a weekend break at Centre Parcs Winter Wonderland for the family to make special memories!



ANNABEL
Annabel has taken part in physiotherapy at Benfleet Physiotherapy to help her balance and to help her to walk independently. The Danny Green Fund also provided Annabel with an iPad while she was receiving rehabilitation at Tadworth Rehabilitation Centre to help her hand-eye co-ordination and to help her keep in touch with her friends while away from home. The physio sessions have really made a difference to Annabel’s recovery. Annabel has taken part in physiotherapy at Benfleet Physiotherapy to help her balance and to help her to walk independently. The Danny Green Fund also provided Annabel with an iPad while she was receiving rehabilitation at Tadworth Rehabilitation Centre to help her hand-eye co-ordination and to help her keep in touch with her friends while away from home. The physio sessions have really made a difference to Annabel’s recovery.



BROOKE
Brooke has received an iPad from The Danny Green Fund to help with her hand-eye coordination and she will also be taking part in weekly physiotherapy sessions.

CHARLOTTE
Charlotte is taking part in physiotherapy session which are focusing on testing her balance and coordination. Charlotte particularly enjoys taking part in the boxing aspect of the sessions.
CHARLIE
The Danny Green Fund have funded soft tissue therapy and restorative exercise sessions for Charlie which helps to restore a more natural, functional gait by breaking down Charlie’s walking technique into smaller parts and addressing restrictions at every level starting at the foot, ankle, calf, knee, hip and pelvis to ensure a stable, steady transferring of weight.


COLE
Cole has recently started physiotherapy to help with his balance. He is determined to regain his strength and to walk independently once again.


DALE
Dale received horse riding sessions which is helped to build his core strength. Dale is a miracle because the doctors don’t understand why Dale is still here and in remission, but he is. We are pleased to be able to contribute towards Dale’s recovery from PFS.



DEMI
Demi had private horse riding sessions to aid her balance and core strength which she looked forward to on a weekly basis which helped her to reach her goal of walking independently. Demi also temporarily relocated to Essex to take part in specialised physiotherapy sessions provided by Benfleet Physiotherapy.In addition to this The Danny Green fund have also funded a weekend break away at Centre Parcs Winter Wonderland for Demi and her family, to enjoy special moments together.


DYLANE
Dylane has taken part in horse riding sessions which she really enjoyed and which helped her balance and co-ordination. Dylane and her family also enjoyed a weekend away at Centre Parcs courtesy of The Danny Green Fund.



ELLIOTT
The charity has been funding physiotherapy sessions for Elliott.
Elliott’s mum said:
“Elliott is really enjoying his sessions and he is doing more than what we would expect from this stage!
Elliott is now sitting independently and he shuffles around the floor on his bottom. He is able to build lego with his hands once again and is really enjoying playing on his iPad. He’s really trying hard to perfect his crawling too. We’re so proud of him, and so grateful for you helping him to achieve this.”

ELSIE
Elsie is having physiotherapy to help her to reach her goal of walking independently. The Danny Green Fund have also arranged a Winter Wonderland break at Centre Parcs for Emilie and her family to create special memories.

EMILIE
Emilie has previously taken part in physiotherapy sessions which have helped her to improve her core strength and mobility. Emilie is currently taking part in movement re-education sessions which will also help her to regain her balance and co ordination by reacting to external influences increasing her skills in accuracy, rhythm and timing.



ETHAN
The very determined Ethan who is making great progress with his physiotherapy which is being provided by Benfleet Physiotherapy. Ethan is now able to move himself from a chair to his wheelchair independently; this is something that he wasn’t previously able to do. Ethan’s Mum said that she has never seen Ethan smile as much as when he’s doing physiotherapy!


FARAH
Farah has been taking part in physiotherapy sessions funded by The Danny Green Fund which are based on having fun whilst also addressing her balance and core strength. Farah has recently taken a few steps unaided and is growing in confidence and continues to improve her strength and coordination which will enable her to walk unaided in the near future. Farah has also enjoyed a break at Centre Parcs courtesy of Danny’s charity, making special memories and enjoying family time away together after months of hospital appointments and treatments.



FINLEY
Finley is making excellent progress and is becoming more confident in the water. This is helping to increase his core strength and stamina. Weekly swimming therapy sessions are funded by The Danny Green Fund.
FREYA
The Danny Green Fund have purchased a posterior posture walker to aid Freya’s balance and to help her walk unaided. We hope that the walker helps two-year old Freya to become more independent and will assist her recovery from PFS.
GIDEON


The Danny Green Fund have provided a garden play tower for Gideon to encourage his gross motor movements and coordination in a fun way, helping him to build his strength and to become more independent as intensive physiotherapy isn’t an option for Gideon.The charity also arranged for Gideon and his family to enjoy a weekend Winter Wonderland break at Centre Parcs.


Update – 2023 –
Gideon is just starting his Physiotherapy sessions funded by the Danny Green Fund charity. This video shows Gideon’s first therapy session and will be a great resource to look back on in 6 months’ time to see the progress that Gideon has made!
GRACE
The Danny Green Fund has previously funded a new listening program for Grace.
The program is designed for improved auditory and vestibular processing. It will also help to improve regulation and levels of alertness, improved speech and improved motor control.
Grace has more recently been taking part in physiotherapy sessions funded by the charity and is making great progress in her walking.
HANNAH
Hannah and her family have been to Centre Parcs Winter Wonderland funded by The Danny Green Fund.




HOLLY
The Danny Green Fund are funding weekly physiotherapy sessions with Manchester Children’s Physiotherapy to help Holly regain her balance, strength and coordination. We are looking forward to seeing the progress that Holly makes in the coming months and hope to see her walkingunaided in the not-too-distant future.



JAMES
James is having horse riding therapy sessions to help strengthen his core strength and to aid his balance and co ordination

JASMINE
A team of neurological physiotherapists and rehabilitation therapists working with Jasmine to achieve excellent results using the wall bars to help her balance and coordination.


JENNA
Jenna has received an iPad and accessories from The Danny Green Fund to help her hand eye co ordination and to help with her fine motor movements.

JENSON
3-year-old Jenson has received a TomCat trike funded by The Danny Green Fund which will improve his coordination skills and increase muscle tone in his core and lower limbs helping Jenson to become more independent. It will also help Jenson to participate in family days out creating special memories of fun times with his family while also helping his recovery.

JIMMY
Jimmy is taking part in ballet lessons funded by the charity. Along with gaining posture, and strengthening the upper body and core, ballet also improves flexibility, balance, and coordination. All of these things can be severely affected by Posterior Fossa Syndrome and it is wonderful to see Jimmy taking part in the sessions and seeing how much strength and balance he has achieved over the time that we have funded the sessions.
Practicing ballet regularly enhances cognitive abilities through learning routines and memorising moves and combining gross and fine motor skills which lead to better mobility and flexibility.


JOSEPH
Joseph has been receiving hydrotherapy funded by The Danny Green Fund. With hydrotherapy he is now able to walk without his walking frame and he is working on core and leg strength, balance and co-ordination, right arm control and making his walking more natural looking.
Joseph’s dream is to play football again in the near future, a dream which we are sure he will achieve with his hard work and determination.



KATY
Katy received physiotherapy and hydrotherapy funded by Danny’s charity and is making great progress. More recently, Katy has enjoyed horse riding therapy sessions. She has also enjoyed a weekend break at Centre Parcs Winter Wonderland courtesy of The Danny Green Fund. Katy continues to improve with her walking unaided and becoming more independent.



LAUREN
Lauren received hydrotherapy at Spire Healthcare and enjoyed using the underwater treadmill and anti-gravity treadmill. Lauren initially relied on a wheelchair to get around but is now walking unaided. Lauren has also passed her driving test and continues to make improvements in her mobility.



LIAM
Liam has been taking part in weekly intensive physiotherapy funded by The Danny Green Fund and is showing great improvement in his right-hand side and is continuing to improve on his strength and balance.
LILYBET
The Danny Green Fund has provided Lilybet with a special needs buggy and has also funded physiotherapy and hydrotherapy at Benfleet Physiotherapy to help Lilybet walk unaided.



LUCAS
We are delighted to be funding horse riding therapy (hippotherapy) sessions for Lucas. Hippotherapy is a type of physical therapy that uses the movement of the horse as a therapeutic tool.
The horse’s movement can also help to strengthen muscles, improve balance, and enhance proprioception (awareness of body position)
We have also previously purchased a pushchair for Lucas to enable him to enjoy precious days out with his family.



LUCIA
Lucia works extremely hard during the physiotherapy sessions funded by The Danny Green Fund. Lucia has made great progress since her diagnosis with Posterior Fossa Syndrome and continues to work hard during her sessions which are tailor-made to meet her needs. The sessions are made fun and interesting by the therapists.
MADELINE
Madeline is taking part in swimming therapy sessions to help her strength and co-ordination .Madeline enjoyed the break to Centre Parcs Winter Wonderland giving her and her family precious time away together making treasured memories.


MATILDA
Matilda has been receiving Neurological physiotherapy which is a specialised area of physical therapy focused on helping people with movement issues caused by damage or disease affecting the brain. It uses specific techniques and exercises to improve motor skills, balance, strength, and coordination, aiming to help children regain function and to manage symptoms.
MAX
The Danny Green Fund have purchased an iPad and accessories for Max to help his hand eye co ordination and his fine motor movement. It also helps him to take part in educational apps during hospital stays. Following his very courageous battle with a brain tumour, Max sadly lost his fight in 2017. The Danny Green send our love and support to Max’s family.

MEGAN
Megan is receiving Hydrotherapy and Physiotherapy at Physiofunction and has seen a great improvement in her recovery.


MIKEY
Mikey is having physiotherapy sessions to help with his balance, co ordination and strength. He is determined to walk independently once again and to regain his strength.



NAYARAN
Narayan’s family goal was to get him walking independently. Narayan takes part in fun physiotherapy sessions, strengthening his core and working on his coordination, balance and posture during his weekly sessions.



OLIVER
Oliver took part in horse riding sessions to help strengthen his core and to aid his balance and coordination.Sadly, Ollie passed away in 2017, following a very courageous battle with his brain tumour. Ollie was a true inspiration showing his sunny personality and beautiful smile throughout his long battle. The Danny Green Fund send our love and support to Ollie’s family.



PENELOPE
The Danny Green Fund have purchased a bespoke lycra suit to help Penelope who suffers from left-sided weakness and ataxia to safely mobilise for improved postural stability, improved movement control, improved coordination and proprioception.
REGGIE
It is lovely to see Reggie engaging and having fun during his therapy session. Making physiotherapy fun involves incorporating play in a positive environment to help children to engage in exercises that build motor skills while being enjoyable, giving a sense of accomplishment and keeping them motivated. By making physiotherapy a more enjoyable experience, children are more likely to achieve their goals.
ROSIE
Rosie is taking part in weekly swimming sessions funded by the Danny Green Fund charity. She is making great progress moving up through the different swimming stages.
Rosie loves being able to walk in the pool and being able to right herself if she wobbles. It is a safe environment for her to develop her walking skills and to build on her strength and balance.

SCOTT
The Danny Green Fund are delighted to have been able to fund a very special buggy for Scott who has recently been receiving treatment for a brain tumour and has also been diagnosed with Posterior Fossa Syndrome. We hope that the buggy will help Scott and his family to enjoy days out together while he continues his recovery from PFS.
SEB
Seb has set himself two personal targets to achieve during his weekly Physiotherapy sessions – One is to run and the other is to jump.
Seb works incredibly hard during the sessions and after many months of hard work and determination, Seb jumped and landed successfully for the first time since his diagnosis.
We look forward to seeing Seb achieve his next goal of running in the not-too-distant future.
SOL
The Danny Green Fund have purchased an iPad and accessories for Sol to help his hand eye co ordination and his fine motor movements. It also helps to keep Sol entertained during hospital visits.

Following his very courageous battle with a brain tumour, Sol sadly lost his fight.
The Danny Green send our love and support to Sol’s family.
SOPHIE
Sophie has made incredible progress in her recovery from PFS during the Physiotherapy sessions funded by The Danny Green Fund charity. Her hard work and determination have paid off as she has improved her standing balance, coordination, and walking confidence. Sophie has recently achieved one of her goals which was to go bowling with her friends.
TYLER
Tyler previously took part in physiotherapy sessions to help with her left sided weakness and walking. Tyler has made great progress and continues to build on her strength.


WILLIAM
We hope that William and his family are able to enjoy some outside together away from hospital with this Phil & Ted buggy provided by The Danny Green Fund.

ZOFEYA
Zofeya has received an iPad to help her hand eye co-ordination and fine motor movements. Following her final round of Chemotherapy, Danny’s Charity funded a weekend away at Centre Parcs to create great memories after undergoing tough cancer treatments.
